Patrick O. Dunphy (Lead Counsel) together with Edward Robinson of Cannon & Dunphy, S.C., won one of the top 100 verdicts of 2008. The lawsuit was filed against Waukesha Memorial Hospital, The Medical Protective Company and the Wisconsin Patients Compensation Fund. The lawsuit alleges that a nurse’s failure to property administer an IV to a pregnant mother caused her baby to be delivered prematurely and sustain a permanent brain injury. The verdict was over $35 million to the plaintiffs. This case was heard in Walworth County Circuit Court in Wisconsin.
