At Cannon & Dunphy S.C., we dedicate our time and talents to helping others. As Milwaukee personal injury attorneys, our team is dedicated to meeting our client’s legal needs during some of the most challenging times of their lives. But as individual members of the communities in which we work and live, we are also dedicated to giving back to communities and doing our part to help improve them. Especially during uncertain times, when the needs of our communities are great, we believe in providing financial support and volunteering our time to address specific needs as they arise.
Here are some of the community organizations we proudly partner with and support.
Hunger Task Force
Hunger Task Force is Milwaukee’s free and local food bank and Wisconsin’s leading anti-hunger organization. Hunger Task Force provides meals to more than 180 food distributors in Wisconsin, feeds 35,000 people each month, provides 50,000 meals each month, and provides the hungry with 10 million pounds of food each year. Hunger Task Force is dedicated to fighting hunger through advocacy and food banking across the state. Hunger Task Force believes that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity. Hunger Task Force’s mission is built upon four pillars: compassion, justice, stewardship, and dignity. Through volunteers and donations, Hunger Task Force leads state and local efforts to end hunger in Wisconsin.
The Guest House of Milwaukee
The Guest House of Milwaukee provides housing, education, shelter, and other services to the homeless in Milwaukee, many of whom are veterans. The Guest House provides shelter for men who want to “transform their lives with dignity and purpose.” But The Guest House provides more than shelter services for men. It provides a counseling clinic, employment assistance, resident managers, permanent housing, case managers, and food assistance to adult men and women in the community.

WILEORC (Wisconsin Injured Law Enforcement Officers Resources Council)
Cannon & Dunphy S.C. proudly supports our law enforcement officers who are injured while putting their lives on the line in the service of the community. One way we do this is through our support of WILEORC. WILEORC is committed to helping disabled and injured law enforcement officers in Wisconsin. Founded in 2014, WILEORC is the first charity of its kind in this state. Some of the services it provides for wounded law enforcement officers include financial assistance, medical help, financial planning, educational assistance, legal referrals, and peer support.

Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin
Cannon & Dunphy S.C. is proud to support the ICan Bike Camp, an event organized by the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin (ASSEW). Our firm helped provide safety helmets for children with Autism and other developmental disabilities as they learned to ride conventional 2-wheel bicycles on their own. ASSEW is committed to raising awareness throughout the local community and to improving the lives of all those affected by autism.
Refashion for Life
Cannon & Dunphy S.C. is a proud sponsor of Refashion for Life, a fashion show held every August. This show features both fashionable home products, including hardware, flooring, cabinetry, and more, as well as the latest in fall apparel. All proceeds from this show go towards supporting CommonGround Ministry/Elena’s House, which provides emotional, spiritual, and physical support for people affected by and infected with HIV/AIDS.

Elena’s House
CommonGround Ministry, Inc. provides physical, spiritual and emotional support to people living with HIV/AIDS through Elena’s House, its transitional and end-of-life home. The primary purpose of Elena’s House is to provide a home for individuals with HIV/AIDS who are facing homelessness, or who have become too sick to live independently. Our goal is to help residents restore their spiritual and physical health through emotional support, assistance with drug regimens, nutritious meals, and safe and peaceful housing. For the sickest members of our community, this is a home where they can face death with dignity. In addition, Elena’s House staff and volunteers encourage residents to achieve personal goals such as finishing their education, returning to the work force, or living independently in the community.
Cannon & Dunphy has been a supporter of CGM’s mission for more than 10 years.
