Man Dies Week After Being Hit By Alleged Drunk Driver


A 20-year-old man whose mother had been hit and killed November 6, has died from his injuries and the man who is charged with hitting them may face additional charges.

The victim was pronounced dead Tuesday at 2:40 a.m. after spending about a week-and-a-half in a Wauwatosa hospital.

His 49-year-old mother died at the scene of the accident at 1400 W. Greenfield Ave., a south side street.

Officials said a 41-year-old hit the two with a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck. He faces a total of six felonies and may be facing more after Lindsey’s death.

The driver is currently facing two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in the victim’s mother’s death; hit-and-run resulting in death; driving with a revoked license causing death; two counts of injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and failing to stop after striking a person and causing great bodily harm.

After the second death, the driver may be facing additional charges. He has three previous drunk driving arrests and officials said his blood alcohol content was 0.206 percent.
