Patrick O. Dunphy Appointed to Lawyers Committee of National Center for State Courts

Join us in congratulating Patrick O. Dunphy, co-founder of Cannon & Dunphy S.C., on his appointment to the Lawyers Committee of the National Center for State Courts (NCSC)! This prestigious honor is a testament to his skill as a lawyer and his commitment to improving justice for all people. As part of his new post, Patrick will be attending a committee meeting in Washington, D.C. on November 19 and 20.

The goal of the National Center for State Courts is to improve the administration of justice through service and leadership to state courts and other courts throughout the world. Since its founding in 1971, they have earned the status as the foremost judicial reform organization in the U.S. and have been a top provider of quality services to meet the current and future needs of courts throughout the world.

The NCSC is committed to the following initiatives:

  • Creating and distributing information and knowledge about judicial administration
  • Applying knowledge of judicial administration to help courts solve problems and meet future needs
  • Supporting the policies and projects of state courts and state court associations
  • Improving the way jurors are treated in court through the efforts of theCenter for Jury Studies, as well as the promotion of innovations in jury system management
  • Evaluating how well courts serve the public
  • Promoting the use of technology to improve court operations through direct technical assistance and original research
  • Working with court associations to improve public confidence and trust in the courts
  • Developing the skills of more than 1,000 court leaders through the Court Executive Development Program of theInstitute for Court Management
  • Working with courts in other countries to improve the rule of law worldwide
